As our first brand ambassador, Jack brings us his top 3 skin-boosting workout tips…

1.  Hit the (Water!) Bottle

On average, 60% of skin is made up of water, so it’s hardly surprising that it plays such an important job in keeping skin healthy. Stay well hydrated, especially when exercising, as when you increase the body’s need for additional oxygen you awaken the cardiovascular system, the metabolic processes speeds up and more waste is created. When you stay well hydrated, your body is able transport oxygen to the cells and flush out toxins more easily which will support your post exercise recovery, plus replace excess fluid you lose through sweating. Nobody wants dry, dehydrated skin!

Top Tip: Be proactive and don’t wait to be thirsty before you replace fluids. Drink water before, during and after a workout

2.  Nutrition, Nutrition, Nutrition!

What goes into your body is just as important as what goes on it. When you feed your body with key vitamins and essential skin nutrients such as Vitamins A, B C, D, E & K, it will bolster all body functions, increase energy to allow you to work out harder and also achieve better mental clarity. When you get your nutrient intake in good order, your skin will be better supported and look brighter and more energised.

Top Tip: Choose a broad variety of carbs, proteins, lean fats and veggies that are packed with vitamins and minerals such as eggs, seeds, fresh fish, avocados, spinach, squash and brazil nuts.

3.  Sweat It Out

Harness the skin boosting benefits of your exercise routine. Working up a good sweat is the equivalent of having a mini facial. When the pores dilate, sweat expels trapped dirt and oil. The tiny arteries in your skin also open up, allowing more blood to reach the skin’s surface and deliver nutrients that repair damage from the sun and environmental pollutants.
